PUBLIC SAFETY FINANCE DIVISION COMMITTEE

MINUTES


Representative Michael Paymar, Chair of the Public Safety Finance Division Committee, called the second meeting to order at 8:32 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Chair Paymar welcomed committee members and introductions were provided.

Chair Paymar reviewed the Public Safety Finance Committee Rules.

Gary Karger, MN House Fiscal Analyst, provided a finance overview of the committee’s accounts.

Committee heard funding reports from several organizations receiving funding in the 2007 Public Safety omnibus bill; including The NetWork, Youth Intervention Programs Association (YIPA), crime victim organizations, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
