MINUTES


Representative Murphy, Cultural and Outdoor Resources Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on March 17, 2010 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was not present.

Geir Friisoe, Division Director, Plant Protection Division, MN Department of Agriculture, Robert Koch, Plant Protection Division, MN Department of Agriculture, and Quinn Cheney, Policy Director, MN Department of Agriculture, presented the Department of Agriculture’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the "Findings and Recommendations Relating to Protection of Forests from Plant Pests."

A quorum was present at 8:35 A.M.

Julie Blackburn, Assistant Director, Board of Water and Soil Resources, presented the Board of Water and Soil Resources report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated to the Board of Water and Soil Resources from the Clean Water Fund.

Forrest Boe, Deputy Director, MN Department of Natural Resources, presented the MN Department of Natural Resources report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated to the Department of Natural Resources from the Parks and Trails Fund.

Arne Stefferud, Planning Analyst, Metropolitan Council, presented the Metropolitan Council’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the expenditure and use of money appropriated to the Metropolitan Council from the Parks and Trails Fund.

Bill Becker, Executive Director, Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council, presented the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council’s report from Minnesota Session Laws Chapter 172 on the use of the Outdoor Heritage Fund.

Representative Haws moved the minutes of March 15, 2010 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A.M.
