Representative Marquart, Chair of the Division, called meeting to order at 2:21 PM on Monday, March 30, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
Committee Legislative Assistant Paul Cumings noted the roll.

HF2204 (Marquart) Property Tax refund enhanced and market value homestead credit reduced.
Representative Marquart testified to the bill.
A quorum was present at 3:24 PM.
Representative Marquart moved that HF2204 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Property and Local Sales Tax Division Report.

HF2129 (Bly) State general levy reduced for historic commercial buildings.
Representative Tillberry moved that HF2129 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Property and Local Sales Tax Division Report.
Representative Bly testified to the bill. Ross Currier with the Northfield Business Development Council testified to the bill.

HF2020 (Marquart) County local sales taxes authorized, certain existing local sales taxes eliminated, county program aid adjusted, and levy limits modified.

Representative Marquart, Chair of the Division, gave introductory comments introducing the 2009 Property and Local Sales Tax Division Report.
Pat Dalton, House Research Analyst, gave an overview of the Property and Local Sales Tax Division Report. Steve Hinze, House Research Analyist, gave an overview of the Property and Local Sales Tax Division Report. Karen Baker, House Research Analyst, gave an overview of the Property and Local Sales Tax Division Report.
Representative Loeffler moved approval of the minutes for Wednesday, March 25, 2009. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Marquart, Chair of the Division, adjourned the meeting at 4:12 PM.
