MINUTES


Representative Ann Lenczewski, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 7:09 P.M. on April 16, 2008 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Liebling moved HF3422 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Liebling moved amendment H3422A1 (ATTACHED). THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF3422 was laid over as amended for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Lenczewski moved HF4168 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF4168-Lenczewski-Wages subject to withholding definition modified.

The following people testified on HF4168: Deb Junod, Office of the Legislative Auditor; Cynthia Templin, House Fiscal Staff; Dave Dederichs, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce; Susan Dioury, Minnesota Association of Realtors; John Haugen, Minnesota Department of Revenue; Kyle Makarios, North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters.

HF4168 was laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Kohls moved HF3338 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF3338-Drazkowski-Mortgages in disaster areas exempted from mortgage registry tax.

Representative Kohls moved amendment H3338A1 (ATTACHED).

Representative Kohls withdrew his motion.

HF3338 was laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Koenen moved HF4181 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF4181-Olin-Subtraction from income attributable to herd eradication provided, bovine testing credit increased, state paid property tax credit provided for bovine tuberculosis management zones, sales tax exemption provided, and money appropriated.

The following person testified on HF4181: John Haugen, Minnesota Department of Revenue.

HF4181 was laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Solberg moved the minutes from April 9, 2008; April 10, 2008; April 14, 2008; April 15, 2008. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

The committee adjourned at 8:53 P.M.
