Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:22 P.M. on, Tuesday, March 6, 2007 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Bunn moved that the minutes of March 1, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Thissen announced the referral of the following bills to the Mental Health Division:

HF1590 Brynaert) Authorizing a Regional Children's Mental Health Initiative pilot project; developing an enhanced regional children's mental health service system.

Chair Thissen annound the referral of the following bills to the Licensing Subcommittee:

HF1705 (Thao) Board of Pharmacy licensing provisions modified.

HF1724 (Walker) Naturopathic doctors licensing provided.

Chair Thissen moved that HF1206 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on
Governmental Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections.

HF1206 (Kelliher) Universal Newborn and Infant Hearing Screening Act adopted.

Chair Thissen moved the H1206A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Thissen moved the A07-0186 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Vice Chair Fritz assumed the gavel at 2:50 P.M.
