Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:20 P.M. on, Thursday, March 8, 2007 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Murphy moved that the minutes of March 6, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Thissen announced the referral of the following bills to the Licensing Subcommittee:

HF1070 (Hilty) Consumer Assurance of Radiologic Excellence Act adopted providing public
access to quality medical imaging procedures and radiation therapy procedures.

SF26 (Thissen) Medical practices board advisory councils expiration dates elimination

Chair Thissen moved that HF1729 be re-referred, without recommendation, to the Committee on
Commerce and Labor.

Chair Thissen moved the A07-0208 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Thissen moved the H1729A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Thissen renewed his motion that HF1729, as amended, be re-referred, without
recommendation, to the Committee on Commerce and Labor. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Norton moved that SF555 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

SF555 (Norton) Essential community provider designation extended.

Rep. Norton moved the A07-0201 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Thissen moved that HF636 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

HF636 (Dittrich) Pediatric dentist participation in a state health care program definition modified

Chair Thissen moved the H0636A1-1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Thissen renewed his motion that HF636, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Thissen moved to reconsider the minutes of March 6, 2007 and amend them as follows:

Page 2, H0464A10 amendment roll call change BROD, Laura from the AYES column to the NAYS column.

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Brod moved the approval of the March 6, 2007 minutes, as adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Thao moved that HF529 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.

HF529 (Thao) Amino-based acid elemental formula health insurance coverage required

Rep. Thao moved the H0529DE2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Thao renewed his motion that HF529 be recommended to pass, as amended, and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Huntley moved that HF655 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Civil Justice.

HF655 (Huntley) Medicinal use of marijuana authorized, civil and criminal penalties imposed, application and renewal fees established.

Rep. Huntley moved the H0655A1 amendment with the following change:

Page 1, line 2, delete "31" and insert "3"

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
