MINUTES


Representative Gene Pelowski, Chair of the Governmental Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:02 A.M. on Tuesday, February 19, 2008, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Simon moved that the minutes of February 14, 2008, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chairman Pelowski introduced the Governmental Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections Committee Pages for 2008, James Mackey and Anton Basch.

Scheduled for hearing: H. F. 2795 (Tschumper)

A bill for an act relating to local government; allowing meetings and events after 6:00 p.m. on March 4, 2008.

Chairman Pelowski moved that HF 2795 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs.

Chairman Pelowski renewed his motion that HF 2795 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A technology demonstration was given to members of the committee on the Winona Model Legislature whose advisor has been Representative Gene Pelowski.
