Representative Lieder, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:46 P.M. on March 4, 2008, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 3490 (Bigham) Juvenile driver's license $30 reinstatement fee imposed following revocation. Pat McCormack, Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) of the Department of Public Safety (DPS) spoke to the bill. Rep. Lieder moved that HF 3490 be recommended to pass and returned to the Finance committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Severson moved the minutes of February 28 and February 29, 2008. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Laurie McGinnis, Center for Transportation Studies at the Uof M and Dr. David Kittelson, Mechanical Engineer at the UofM presented the Center for Transportation Studies Green House Gas Emission Study in Transportation Sector findings thus far. The final report is due in June of 2008.
HF 3126 (Ruth) Tax registration for intracity buses fixed. Pat McCormack, DVS of DPS assisted in presenting the bill. Rep. Ruth moved the
A08-1167 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Rep. Ruth moved that HF 3126, as amended, be recommended to pass and returned to the Finance committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 3486 (Hornstein) International Fuel Tax Agreement fee. Pat McCormack, DVS of DPS assisted in presenting the bill. Rep. Hornstein moved the
H3486A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Rep. Hornstein moved that HF 3486, as amended, be recommended to pass and returned to the Finance committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
