STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE DIVISION

MINUTES


Representative Kahn, Chair of the Division, called the meeting to order at 2:22 P.M. on March 11, 2008 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was not present.

Alexandra Broat, Executive Budget Officer and Britta Reitan, also an Executive Budget Officer, both from the Department of Finance, presented an overview of the Governor's supplemental budget proposal.

A quorum was present at 2:27 P.M.

Bob Schroeder, Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Pawlenty, gave an overview of how the Governor's office would implement the Governor's supplemental budget proposal.

Stephanie Andrews, Deputy Commissioner and Abigail Reed, Executive Budget Officer both from the Department of Finance, explained how the Department would implement the Governor's supplemental budget proposal.

State Auditor Rebecca Otto and Matthew Lindemann, Director of Budget, Finance and Technology in the State Auditor's office, presented an overview of the impact that the Governor's supplemental budget recommendations would have on the State Auditor's office.

Adjutant General Larry Shellito and Terry Palmer, Comptroller, both from the Department of Military Affairs, presented an overview of how the Department would implement the Governor's supplemental budget proposal.

Commissioner Dana Badgerow, Department of Administration, presented an overview of how the Department would implement the Governor's supplemental budget proposal.

Representative Hortman moved that the minutes of February 20, 2008 and February 28, 2008 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Representative Drazkowski moved that the minutes of February 21, 2008 and February 26, 2008 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rebecca Spartz, Attorney General's Office, gave an overview of the impact that the Governor's supplemental budget recommendations would have on the Attorney General's Office.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:01 P.M.
