MINUTES


Representative Michael Paymar, Chair of the Public Safety Finance Division Committee, called the thirty-ninth meeting to order at 8:10 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2008 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Minutes Approved, as amended. Rep. Bigham moved approval of the minutes as corrected. [Chair Paymar noted the correction as after "Excused:" delete "KOHLS, Paul".]
MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

HF1043 (Simon) Requiring predatory offenders to register electronic mail addresses and related information to law enforcement.

Chair Paymar moved that HF1043 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Finance supplemental budget bill.

Rep. Simon presented HF1043.

Chair Paymar moved the H1043DE2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Ann Marie O'Neill, Sr. State Program Administrator Supervisor, Department of Public Safety/Bureau of Criminal Apprehension

Chair Paymar renewed the motion that HF1043 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Finance supplemental budget bill.
