MINUTES


Representative Karen Clark, Chair, called the meeting to order at 10:07AM on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Davnie presented HF3346, mortgage foreclosure assistance provided, and maximum amount of financial assistance increased.

Testified on HF3346:
Tonja Orr, Assistant Commissioner, MN Housing Finance Agency

Representative Peterson moved that HF3346 be recommended to pass and be returned to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Connie Greer, Manager of the Office of Economic Opportunity and Beth Holger, Homeless Youth Programs Administrator presented an update on Legislation from 2007, Runaway and Homeless Youth Act.

Arnie Anderson, Director, Community Action Partnership gave a presentation on community action in MN.

Representative Laine moved that the minutes of February 26, 2008 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:27AM
