SUBCOMMITTEE ON WATERSHEDS, WETLANDS, AND BUFFER PROTECTION
MINUTES
Representative Rick Hansen, Chair of the Subcommittee, called the meeting to order at 12:30 P.M. on February 20, 2007, in Room 400 South of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Dr. Shannon Fisher, Director, Minnesota River Basin Joint Powers Board, testified on the topic of watershed districts.
Representative Wagenius, ex-officio member of the committee, was present.
A quorum was present at 12:52 P.M.
Representative Anzelc moved approval of the minutes of February 14th. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.
John Jaschke, Executive Director, Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR), presented an overview of BWSR.
Randy Kramer, Chair, BWSR, testified on the topic of the Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) watershed management report.
James Nobles, Legislative Auditor, OLA, gave an overview of OLA's watershed management report.
Jan Sandberg, Program Evaluator, OLA, testified on the topic of OLA’s watershed management report.
David Kirchner, Program Evaluator, OLA, testified on the topic of OLA’s watershed management report.
Mary O’Connor, Brooklyn Center Council member, testified on the topic of OLA’s watershed management report.
John Waller, a citizen and family farmer from Hugo, testified on the topic of OLA’s watershed management report.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:40 P.M.
