MINUTES
Chair Wagenius called the meeting to order at 8:12 A.M. on February 28th, 2008, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Fiscal Analyst Jim Reinholdz presented spreadsheets showing closed landfill program expenses (actual and projected), legislative impacts to the Environmental and Remediation Fund, and projected Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) CLIF vs. CLP expenditures.
A quorum was present at 8:15 A.M.
Dr. Shawn Schottler, Senior Scientist, Science Museum of Minnesota, testified on prairie diversity and function.
HF3232 Bunn, Washington County Landfill funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.
Chair Wagenius moved the bill.
Representative Bunn presented her bill.
Representative Bunn presented the
A08-1156 amendment.
Chair Wagenius moved the amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.
Representative Bunn presented HF3232 as amended.
Jim Reinholdz testified in response to questions from committee members.
Jeff Lewis, MPCA Closed Landfill Program Manager, testified on issues raised by the bill.
Myrna Halbach, MPCA Chief Financial Officer, discussed the spreadsheets presented by Jim Reinholdz.
Chair Wagenius moved that HF3232 as amended be re-referred to the Finance committee without recommendation. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND HF3232 AS AMENDED IS RE-REFERRED TO THE COMMITTEE ON FINANCE WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION.
