MINUTES


Representative Mindy Greiling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:15PM on February 6, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Morrow moved the minutes of February 1, 2007 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

Representative Paul Marquart provided an informational review of school district levy modification, as included in HF3 (Marquart) School district levies modified, market value property tax credit computation modified, property tax refunds increased for homeowners and renters, senior deferral eligibility increase, and city and county aid increased.

Tim Strom, House Legislative Analyst and Greg Crowe, House Fiscal Analyst, provided an informational review of school district levy modification, as included in HF3.

Testifying on school district levy modification, as included in HF3, were:
Brad Lundell, Executive Director, Schools for Equity in Education
Scott Croonquist, Executive Director, Association of Metropolitan School Districts
Grace Schwab, Director of Governmental Relations, MN Schools Boards Association

The meeting was adjourned at 3:30PM.
