MINUTES


Representative Mindy Greiling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:20PM on January 31, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Benson moved the minutes of January 24, 2007 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

Representative Dominguez moved approval of the minutes for January 30, 2007 as corrected: "SWAILS, Marsha" added under E-12 Education Policy Members present.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.


Dr. Nathan Davis, Executive Director, Perpich Center for Arts Education and Dr. Pam Paulson, Deputy Director, Perpich Center for Arts Education, provided an overview of their organization and a review of the governor's budget proposal for their organization. A powerpoint presentation was used.

Linda Mitchell, Superintendent, Minnesota State Academies, Olda Boubin, Director of Education, MN State Academy for the Blind and Roxie Mitchell, Director of Education, MN State Academy for the Deaf, provided an overview of their organization and a review of the governor’s budget proposal for their organization.


The meeting was adjourned at 3:50PM.
