MINUTES


Representative Alice Hausman, Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:18 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was not present.

H.F. 1545 (Olin) - relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for a flood hazard
mitigation project for the city of Roseau; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

Rep. Lieder moved that HF 1545 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Juhnke moved approval of the minutes from the meeting of March 1, 2007. MOTION PREVAILED - MINUTES WERE ADOPTED

H.F. 248 (Solberg) - relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for the Canisteo Mine Outflow Project; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

Rep. Solberg moved that HF 248 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

H.F. 1099 (Peterson, A.) - relating to capital improvements; converting appropriations for grants for the Lewis and Clark Rural Water System from the bond proceeds fund to the general fund; amending Laws 2005, chapter 20, article 1, section 23, subdivision 8; Laws 2006, chapter 258, section 21, subdivision 15.

Rep. Juhnke moved that HF 1099 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Juhnke moved to amend HF 1099, with the attached Delete Everything amendment - H1099DEI. MOTION PREVAILED - THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Rep. Solberg moved that HF 344 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.
