MINUTES


Representative Alice Hausman, Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, in the Room 500N of the State Office Building. The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was not present.

Update from Minnesota Department of Transportation on Local Bridge Replacement Program. Presentation by Rick Kjonaas, Deputy State Engineer, MN Department of Transportation

A quorum was present at 6:47 pm

HF 1308 (Tingelstad) relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for a regional forensic crime laboratory in Anoka County; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

HF 1263 (Abeler) relating to capital improvements; appropriating money for a forensic crime lab in Anoka County; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

Rep. Tingelstad moved that HF 1308 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Tingelstad moved that HF 1263 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Scalze moved that HF 1207 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Tingelstad moved approval of the minutes from the 2:15 pm meeting of Tuesday, March 13, 2007. MOTION PREVAILED THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED

HF 864 (McNamara) relating to capital investment; appropriating money for supportive housing on the campus of the Hastings Veterans Home; authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds.

Rep. Scalze moved that HF 864 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Capital Investment Finance bill.

Rep. Scalze moved to amend HF 1523 with the A07-0261 amendment, see attached. MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED
