Representative Al Juhnke, Chair, called the first meeting to order at 10:05AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 in Basement of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant called the roll.

A quorum was present.
Representative Faust moved that the minutes of January 10, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Magnus moved that the minutes of January16, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Doty moved that the minutes of January 17, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Commissioner Clark Dyrud and Kristine Kiel, MN Department of Veterans Affairs, gave an overview of the Veterans Affairs budget.
Discussion and questions followed.
Don Pfeffer, MN Department of Veterans Affairs, spoke on behalf of campus registration of veterans in response to a question.
