MINUTES


Representative Kent Eken, Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:12 P.M. on Thursday, February 8th, 2007, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Tingelstad moved approval of the minutes of February 6th, 2007. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

The following people gave a presentation on the Minnesota Environmental Coalition of Labor and Industry (MECLI) and answered questions from the committee:

Joan Archer, Co-chair MECLI, Minnesota Beverage Association
Tom Koehler, Co-chair MECLI, IBEW Local 160
Rick Evans, Xcel Energy
Steven Schultz, 3M

The following people gave a presentation on the Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment (IREE) and answered questions from the committee:

Jane Davidson, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Minnesota
John Carmody, Center for Sustainable Building Research, University of Minnesota
Greg Cuomo, Rosemount Research and Outreach Center, University of Minnesota

The meeting was adjourned at 5:21 P.M.
