MINUTES


Representative Carlos Mariani, Chair of the E-12 Education Committee, called the thirty-third meeting to order at 10:15 AM on Friday, April 11, 2008, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll:

A quorum was present.

Chair Mariani announced that the committee would take informational testimony on bills today but would not take any action on any of the bills.

Chair Mariani recognized Ms. Emily Antin and Mr. Matthew Scherer, pages for the committee, and thanked them for their work this year.

HF 4036 (Demmer) - A bill for an act relating to education; authorizing state grants to leverage quality improvements in K-12 education.

Rep. Demmer presented HF 4036.

Rep. Demmer moved the minutes from March 14 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.
