Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Division, called the twelfth meeting to order at 8:02 A.M. on, March 19, 2007, in Room 500 South of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davnie called the meeting to order at 8:02 A.M.

HF1209 (Mullery) Homeowners transactions regulated when homes are in foreclosure.

Representative Davnie moved approval of HF1209 to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

Representative Benson assumed the chair.


Representative Benson called the meeting to order at 8:15 A.M. A quorum was present.


Representative Benson moved HF1209 recommend to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.


Representative Scalze moved approval of the March 16, 2007 minutes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES ARE ADOPTED.


HF1053 (Olin) Theft of a computer that contains identity information about the owner or any other person felony penalty imposed.

Representative Nelson moved HF 1053 recommend to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

Representative Nelson renewed his motion that HF1053 be recommended to pass and re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.


HF1224 (Hornstein) Unions; state funds use prohibited for encouraging or discouraging union organizing.

Representative Hornstein moved approval of HF1224 to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

Representative Hornstein moved amendment H1224DE1.
The amendment was adopted.

Representative Davnie moved approval of HF1758 to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

Representative Davnie moved an oral amendment Page 1, Line 15 after chip insert "or a magnetic stripe"
The oral amendment was incorporated.

Representative Davnie moved approval of HF1554 to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee

Davnie moved oral amendment:
Number 1. Pages 1,2 and 3, delete Section 1. Line 4.3, reinstate stricken language. Line 4.4, reinstate stricken language. After May 31, delete "2007" and insert "2008". Renumber and amend title accordingly.
The oral amendment was incorporated.

Davnie moved oral amendment:
Number 2. Line 4.2, reinstate stricken language. Line 4.6, delete "Section 1 is effective June 1, 2007."
The oral amendment was incorporated.
