MINUTES


Representative Joe Atkins, Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:14 P.M. on February 26, 2008, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 3356 (Moe) Explore Minnesota tourism vacation rental lodging study

Representative Atkins moved HF 3356.

Representative Atkins moved HF 3356 be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Atkins re-called the meeting of the Commerce and Labor committee to order at 4:25 p.m.

HF 3212 (Johnson) Video programming arbitration provided, and rulemaking required

Representative Johnson moved HF 3212.

Representative Anderson moved that the minutes of February 19, 2008 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2964 (Hilstrom) Horse racing; purse set-aside and breeder's fund revenue sharing provided, and simulcasting restriction modified

Representative Atkins moved HF 2964.

Representative Atkins moved the A08-1127 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Atkins moved to orally amend HF 2964 as follows:

In Line 3.33, delete "paragraph (b),". THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Atkins moved HF 2964, as amended, be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Lillie assumed the gavel at 5:15 p.m.

HF 3115 (Atkins) First party good faith insurance practices regulated, and remedies provided

Representative Atkins moved HF 3115.
