MINUTES


Representative Joe Atkins, Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:03 P.M. on February 20, 2007, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lillie moved that the minutes of Febrary 15, 2007 be adopted.

HF 828 (Kahn) A resolution urging the president and Congress to end trade, financial and travel restrictions to Cuba.

Representative Atkins moved HF 828.

Representative Atkins moved that HF 828 be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HR 2 (Kahn) Cuba: a House resolution expressing the sense of the Minnesota House concerning trade, financial and travel restrictions to Cuba.

Representative Atkins moved HR 2.

Testimony on HF 828 and HF 2 presented jointly.

Representative Atkins moved that HR 2 be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 765 (Loeffler) Motor vehicle insurance database development required.

Representative Atkins moved HF 765 .

HF 611 (Anzelc) Workplace communications between labor organizations and employees protected, and certain employer conduct prohibited.

Representative Atkins moved that the Division Report on HF 611 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Anzelc moved HF 611.

Representative Lillie assumed the gavel at 4:52 P.M.
