MINUTES


Representative Ruth, Vice Chair of the Transportation Finance Committee, called the Thirty-Third meeting to order at 12:30 P.M. on Thursday April 6, 2006, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Excused from the meeting:

A quorum was present.

HF3637 (Holberg) Metropolitan special transportation service requirements regulation provided.

Representative Holberg moved HF3637 be passed and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Holberg moved verbal amendment (A1 amendment) (see attached) to HF3637. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Holberg presented HF3637.

Representative Holberg renewed her motion that HF3637 be passed, as amended and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3544 (Penas) Roseau County radio tower trunk highway bond sale authorized and money appropriated.

Representative Holberg moved HF3544 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Finance Committee Omnibus Bill.

Representative Holberg renewed her motion that HF3544 be laid over for possible inclusion the the Transportation Finance Committee Omnibus Bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3048 (Lanning) Motor vehicle sales tax revenue dedicated to transportation and allocated between public transit assistance and highway user tax distribution fund, and constitutional amendment proposed.

Representative Holberg moved HF3048 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Finance Committee Omnibus Bill.

HF2915 (Gunther) Motor vehicle tax apportionment specified through constitutional amendment and referendum.

Representative Holberg moved HF2915 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Finance Committee Omnibus Bill.

HF4068 (Abrams) Motor vehicle sales tax revenue allocation modified, highway user tax distribution funds provided, and previous constitutional amendment ballot question modified.

Representative Abrams moved HF4068 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Transportation Finance Committee Omnibus Bill.

Representative Abrams presented HF4068.
