STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES


Representative Marty Seifert, Chairman of the State Government Finance Committee, called the thirty-third meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Members present:

MULLERY, JOE

Members Excused:
FINSTAD, BRAD

A quorum was present.


Chairman Seifert moved HF2997 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance bonding recommendations.

Testifying: Paul Erickson, Executive Director, MN Amateur Sports Commission

Chair Seifert laid over HF2668.

Chairman Seifert moves HF3600 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the committee of Capital Investment.
Representative Loefler incorporates the following into the amendment labeled “H3600DE1:”
Line 1.5 insert $3,148,000 to begin line (a)
Line 1.10 insert $13,400,000 to begin line (b)

Representative Kahn moves the amendment labeled “H3600DE1.” THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Seifert renewed his motion that HF3600, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the committee on Capital Investment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Delaforest moved the approval of minutes for March 15, 2006. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

The committee heard testimony on possible re-location of the Department of Administrative Hearings.

Chairman Seifert moves to amend the document titled “State Government Finance Committee Capitol Budget Recommendations 2006.” Chair Seifert moves to substitute the document titled State Government Finance Committee Capital Budget Recommendations and Rankings- 2006.”
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
