MINUTES


Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy & Finance Committee, called the twenty-ninth meeting to order at 8:18 a.m., on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.


H. F. 0572 ((Johnson, J.) Methamphetamine and methamphetamine precursor drug crime provisions established, technical conformity provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Gunther moved HF 572 to be before the committee and recommended passage and to be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety.

Chair Gunther moved Amendment H0572A24 to be adopted.

Chair Gunther moved an oral amendment to Amendment H0572A24, line 1, strike "third", insert "fourth"; line 3, strike "27", insert "29"; line 4, strike "(m)", insert "(L)". The motion prevailed and the oral amendment to Amendment H0572A24 was adopted.

Chair Gunther renewed his motion to adopt Amendment H0572A24, as amended. The motion prevailed and Amendment H0572A24, as amended, was adopted.

Chair Gunther moved an oral amendment to HF0572, Fourth Engrossment, page 20, line 18, strike "chapter 145A or". The motion prevailed and the oral amendment to HF0572 was adopted.

Representative Johnson presented HF 0572.

Chair Gunther renewed his motion to recommend passage of HF0572, as amended, and re-referred HF0572 to the Committee on Public Safety. The motion prevailed and HF0572, as amended, was recommended for passage and re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety.


H. F. 1198 (Slawik) Emergency assistance and transitional housing funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Slawik moved HF 1198 to be before the committee for possible inclusion in the omnibus finance bill.

Representative Slawik presented HF 1198.

HF 1198 was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus finance bill.
