MINUTES


Representative Bob Gunther, Chair of the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy & Finance Committee, called the twenty-eighth meeting to order at 8:26 a.m., on Thursday, March 10, 2005, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.


H. F. 1421 (Bradley). Deaf and hard of hearing grants provided to the Minnesota Employment Center, and money appropriated.

Representative Bradley moved HF1421 to be before the committee and recommended that HF1421 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy and Finance Omnibus bill.

Representative Bradley presented HF1421.

H. F. 1214 (Knoblach) Blind and disabled persons accessible electronic information service established and money appropriated.

Representative Westerberg moved HF1214 to be before the committee and recommended that HF1214 pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Regulated Industries.

Representative Westerberg moved to adopt Amendment H1214A1. The motion prevailed and Amendment H1214A1 was adopted.

Representative Knoblach presented HF1214.

Representative Westerberg renewed his motion to recommend passage of HF1214, as amended, and to be re-referred to the Committee on Regulated Industries. The motion prevailed and HF1214 was recommended HF1214 pass, as amended, and to be re-referred to the Committee on Regulated Industries.


HF1215 (Clark) Bridges rental housing assistance program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Clark moved HF1215 to be before the committee and recommended that HF1215 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy and Finance Omnibus bill.

HF1269 (Sertich) Housing Finance Agency family homeless prevention and assistance program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Sertich moved HF1269 to be before the committee and recommended that HF1269 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Jobs & Economic Opportunity Policy and Finance Omnibus bill.
