Representative Bud Nornes, Chair of the Committee on Higher Education, called the thirty-sixth meeting to order at 12:38 PM on Monday, April 10, 2006, in Room 300S of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

12:39:06 PM Rep. Carlson moved to approve the Minutes: April 3, 2006. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES ARE ADOPTED.
12:39:24 PM Rep. Cox moved to approve the Minutes: April 5, 2006. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES ARE ADOPTED.
12:39:45 PM HF 3924 (Nornes) Omnibus higher education bill appropriating money and reducing appropriations, establishing task forces and modifying programs, providing federal student data conformity, and adjusting student loans and work-study provisions. Chair Nornes moved HF 3924 to pass and be rereferred to the committee on Ways and Means.
12:39:51 PM Chair Nornes moved the H3924DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.
12:44:00 PM Kathy Novak, House Research Analyst, gave an overview of the DE1 amendment.
