Representative Bud Nornes, Chair of the Committee on Higher Education, called the twenty-ninth meeting to order at 12:44 PM on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in Room 300S of the State Office Building.

12:46:32 PM A quorum was present. Chair Nornes officially called the meeting to order.
12:46:42 PM Rep. Gunther continued his presentation.
12:46:51 PM Mike Humpal, Director, City of Fairmont Economic Development, supported the bill.
12:54:50 PM THE BILL WAS LAID OVER FOR POSSIBLE INCLUSION IN THE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CAPITAL INVESTMENT COMMITTEE.
12:54:59 PM HF2910 (Seifert) Southwest Minnesota State University bonds issued and money appropriated.
12:59:08 PM President David Danahar, Southwest MN State University, supported the bill.
1:04:50 PM Bill McCormick, Executive Director, Schwans Co., supported the bill.
1:10:04 PM Vice Chancellor, Alan Johnson, MnSCU, responded to a question from the committee.
1:26:16 PM THE BILL WAS LAID OVER FOR POSSIBLE INCLUSION IN THE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CAPITAL INVESTMENT COMMITTEE.
1:26:22 PM HF2781 (Davids) National Center for Biofuels Research at the University of Minnesota design funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

1:42:13 PM Todd Iverson, U of M, responded to a question from the committee.
