MINUTES
Representative Tom Hackbarth, Chair of the Environment & Natural Resources Policy Committee, called the second meeting to order at 12:41 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Clerk noted the roll.

12:41:09 PM The Chair announced that the committee would hear an overview of Public Lands and Forest Classification by the DNR
12:41:26 PM Rep. Hortman moved adoption of the minutes of the Environment & Natural Resources Policy Committee dated January 20, 2005.

12:41:58 PM The Chair announced what will be done in committee today. He also announced that there will be NO committee meeting on Thursday, January 27, 2005 due to Session being at noon.
12:43:53 PM Lands & Minerals Director – DNR, Bill Brice, presented the Minnesota Public Lands overview.
12:57:05 PM Questions from the committee were posed to the presenter.
1:03:53 PM Director of Forestry – DNR, Mike Carol, answered questions.
1:11:35 PM Assistant Commissioner - DNR, Brad Moore, presented the Minnesota Private Forest Lands overview.
1:26:04 PM Questions from the Committee were posed to the presenter.
1:31:21 PM Assistant to the Commissioner – DNR, Craig Engwall, presented the ATV Forest classification update.
1:49:07 PM Questions by the Committee were posed to the presenter.
1:50:07 PM Director of Trails and Waterways – DNR, Laurie Martinson, answered questions.
1:51:34 PM Deputy Commissioner – DNR, Mark Holsten, answered questions.
2:16:11 PM The Chair announced that due to time constraints, additional testifiers would not be able to address the Committee at this time.
2:17:02 PM The Chair made an announcement about the next meeting.
2:17:20 PM The meeting was adjourned.
