MINUTES


Representative Tim Wilkin, Chairman of the Commerce and Financial Institutions Committee, called the thirty-fifth meeting to order at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2006, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Sertich moved that the minutes from the meetings of March 14, and March 15, 2006, be approved.

HF2794 (Gazelka) Uninsured motorists remedies limited.

Rep. Gazelka moved that HF2794 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Elections.

Rep. Gazelka presented HF2794.

HF3464 (Walker) Barber and cosmetologist licensing provision modified.

Rep. Soderstrom moved that HF3464 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.

Rep. Walker presented HF3464.

Rep. Wilkin moved to amend HF3464 with the A1 amendment.

Rep. Soderstrom renewed her motion that HF3464 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the General Register.

HF3525 (Simpson) Construction codes and licensing provisions recodified, State Building Code modified and enforcement penalties provided.

Rep. Simpson moved that HF3525 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations and Veterans Affairs.
