MINUTES


Representative Greg Davids, Chair of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, called the seventh meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2005, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Members excused:

SF4/HF223 (Sams/Davids) Ethanol minimum content in gasoline increased.

Testifying on SF4/HF223:

A quorum was present at 2:38 p.m.

Rep. Johnson moved approval of the minutes: Wednesday, February 2, 2005. The motion prevailed.

Chair Davids moved SF4/HF223.

Continued testimony on SF4/HF223:
Ward Formo, MN Corn Growers Association

Chair Davids moved to amend SF4/HF223 with the S0004A2 amendment (please see attached).

Testifying on the S0004A2 amendment:
Bob Krogman, Executive Director, MN Petroleum Marketers Association

Chair Davids renewed his motion to amend SF4/HF223 with the S0004A2 amendment. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Chair Davids renewed his motion that SF4/HF223 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Environment Policy Committee. The motion prevailed.

Chair Davids asked Members to keep Senator Dallas Sams in their prayers and hopes for a quick recovery.

Chair Davids noted the agenda for tomorrow’s hearing
