The House of Representatives convened at 3:00 p.m. and was called to order by Steve Sviggum, Speaker of the House.

 

Prayer was offered by Karoline Pöggel, an exchange student from Butow, Germany, who is attending Cooper High School in New Hope, Minnesota.

 

The members of the House gave the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.

The Chief Clerk proceeded to read the Journal of the preceding day. Wardlow moved that further reading of the Journal be suspended and that the Journal be approved as corrected by the Chief Clerk. The motion prevailed.

 

 

REPORTS OF CHIEF CLERK

 

S. F. No. 1758 and H. F. No. 1857, which had been referred to the Chief Clerk for comparison, were examined and found to be identical.

 

Meslow moved that S. F. No. 1758 be substituted for H. F. No. 1857 and that the House File be indefinitely postponed. The motion prevailed.

 

 

S. F. No. 1875 and H. F. No. 2020, which had been referred to the Chief Clerk for comparison, were examined and found to be identical.

Abrams moved that the name of Bernardy be added as an author on H. F. No. 2643. The motion prevailed.

 

Hackbarth moved that H. F. No. 1716 be recalled from the Committee on Governmental Operations and Veterans Affairs Policy and be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. The motion prevailed.
