1.5    "Subd. 3. Exemptions. The training requirements in subdivision 2 do not apply to
1.6employees who:
1.7(1) are minors;
1.8(2) work exclusively in a restaurant, providing catering services, or both; or
1.9(3) do not have direct contact with either guests or guest rooms.
1.10    Subd. 4. Immunity. (a) An operator or employee of a hotel or motel who acts in good
1.11faith is immune from liability in any civil action for reporting suspected sex trafficking
1.12activities.
1.13(b) Operators and employees of a hotel or motel are immune from liability in any civil
1.14action for failing to report suspected sex trafficking activities.
1.15    Subd. 5. Licensing. Failure of a hotel or motel operator to provide the prevention training
1.16required by subdivision 2 shall not be grounds for the commissioner to revoke or refuse to
1.17renew the license of the hotel or motel."
