1.3Page 30, after line 2, insert:

1.4    "Sec. 8. Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 10.43, is amended to read:
1.510.43 TELEPHONE USE; APPROVAL.
1.6(a) Each representative, senator, constitutional officer, judge, and head of a state
1.7department or agency shall sign the person's monthly long-distance telephone bills paid
1.8by the state as evidence of the person's approval of each bill. This signature requirement
1.9does not apply to a month in which the person's long-distance phone bill paid by the
1.10state is less than $5.
1.11(b) Even if the monthly long-distance phone bill paid by the state for a person
1.12subject to this section is less than $5, the person is responsible for paying that portion of
1.13the bill that does not relate to state business. As provided in section 10.46, long-distance
1.14telephone bills paid by the state are public data, regardless of the amount of the bills.
1.15EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for telephone bills for usage on or
1.16after July 1, 2015."
1.17Renumber the sections in sequence and correct the internal references
1.18Amend the title accordingly
