1.6(a) $26,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 and
1.7$15,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 must be
1.8transferred to the unrestricted general fund
1.9from the general stadium reserve account
1.10established by the commissioner of
1.11management and budget under Minnesota
1.12Statutes, section 297E.021. These are onetime
1.13transfers.
1.14(b) $26,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 and
1.15$15,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 are
1.16appropriated from the general fund to fully
1.17fund the required 35 percent state match
1.18required by the federal government to achieve
1.19U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Priority
1.20List Group 1 status for capital projects for
1.21veterans' homes as follows:
1.22(1) $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 and
1.23$6,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 to design,
1.24construct, furnish, and equip a veterans home
1.25in Preston;
2.1(2) $6,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 and
2.2$3,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 to design,
2.3construct, furnish, and equip a veterans home
2.4in Montevideo; and
2.5(3) $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2019 and
2.6$6,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 to design,
2.7construct, furnish, and equip a veterans home
2.8in Bemidji.
2.9(c) These veterans homes are subject to the
2.10requirements of the People's Veterans Homes
2.11Act, as provided in subdivision 4. This is a
2.12onetime appropriation, and is available until
2.13June 30, 2022. The appropriations are not
2.14available until the commissioner of
2.15management and budget, in consultation with
2.16the commissioner of veterans affairs,
2.17determines that amounts sufficient to complete
2.18the projects are committed from nonstate
2.19sources."
