1.6(b) The teacher recruitment and retention aid for each school district, charter school,
1.7cooperative unit, and American Indian Tribal contract school equals $11 times the school's
1.8fall 2020 enrollment.
1.9(c) A school may uses its teacher recruitment aid for promotional and interview activities,
1.10travel reimbursements for prospective teachers, and for recruitment bonuses and retention
1.11bonuses. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, chapter 179A, or any other law to the contrary,
1.12a school district or cooperative unit may make a payment to a teacher in the form of a
1.13retention or recruitment bonus in the form and manner, and of the amount, established by
1.14the board of the school district or the cooperative unit.
1.15(d) Any balance in the first year does not cancel but is available in the second year."
