Child care providers may not have to publicly post the correction orders handed down from the Department of Human Services.
The House passed HF3015 Monday by a vote of 126-0. Sponsored by Rep. Duane Quam (R-Byron), it now goes to the Senate where Sen. Carla Nelson (R-Rochester) is the sponsor.
Current law requires licensed family child care providers and child care centers to post a correction order or order of conditional license in a visible place in the facility for two years, with some exceptions.
Because the correction orders are already posted online, posting physical copies is duplicative, Quam said.
