(UPDATED)

Fairgoers are invited to meet and greet legislators and weigh in on hot political topics during their visit to the House of Representatives booth at the Minnesota State Fair, Thursday, Aug. 21 through Monday, Sept. 1.

Snap a photo behind a replica of the House speaker’s desk to post on social media, join thousands of others in taking our annual House opinion poll and meet with House members scheduled to appear throughout the fair at the House exhibit located in the Education Building, located on Cosgrove Street, just north of Dan Patch Avenue.

The annual House opinion poll has drawn the attention of around 10,000 participants annually. Fairgoers can let their opinions be known on a number of issues such as public subsidies to the NFL for hosting the Super Bowl, legalizing marijuana for recreational use, requiring swimming lessons for all K-12 students and increasing the gas tax.

Poll results should be available on the House website Sept. 2, the day after the fair. You can learn more about the House exhibit here.
