LABOR AND INDUSTRY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:01 P.M. on March 19th, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

Representative Jordan moved that the minutes of March 14, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4761 (Stephenson) Cannabis; workplace testing provided.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 4761 be re-referred to the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Nelson renewed his motion that HF 4761 be re-referred to the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4508 (Jordan) Public employee definition amended, and University of Minnesota employee bargaining units modified.

Representative Jordan moved that HF 4508 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 4242 (Kraft) State Building Code; residential energy code adoption standards and timelines modified, residential energy rating rebate program created, reports required, and money appropriated.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 4242 be re-referred to Climate and Energy Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Nelson moved the H4242A3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDEMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 4661 (Wolgamott) Technical and policy changes made to workers’ compensation hearing provisions.

Representative Wolgamott moved that HF 4661 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Wolgamott moved the A24-0249 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
