LABOR AND INDUSTRY FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Labor and Industry Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:02 P.M. on March 12th, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

A quorum was present.

Representative Jordan moved that the minutes of March 7, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4200 (Feist) Continued publications of annual adverse health event report required, retaliation against patient care staff prohibited, and enforcement provided.

Chair Nelson moved that HF 4200 be re-referred to Ways and Means.

Chair Nelson moved the H4200A1-1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 4286 (Berg) Labor Standards policy and technical changes made.

Representative Berg moved that HF 4286 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Representative Berg moved the H4286A3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.


Testifying on HF 4286 as amended:
-Jessica Grows, Director of Labor Standards, Department of Labor and Industry

Representative Schultz moved the H4286A2 amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

Representative Berg renewed her motion that HF 4286, as amended, be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
