HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Mohamud Noor, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Finance, called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM on January 19, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Fischer moved that the minutes of January 17, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation from the Minnesota Interagency Council on Homelessness providing an overview of state-wide homelessness.

Presenting:
• Elizabeth Dressel – Implementation Specialist and Equity Coordinator, Minnesota Interagency Council on Homelessness

HF 444 (Keeler); Homeless Youth Act modified, and money appropriated.

Representative Keeler moved that HF 444 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Children and Families Finance and Policy.

Representative Keeler moved the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Keeler presented HF 444, as amended.

Representative Keeler renewed the motion that HF 444, as amended, be recommended to pass, and be re-referred to the Committee on Children and Families. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 135 (Feist); Hennepin County; persons experiencing homelessness funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Noor moved the A4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
