HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Michael Howard, Chair of the Committee on Housing Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:12 P.M. on March 6, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Lead Johnson moved that the minutes of March 5, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 685 (Agbaje) Limiting corporate ownership of affordable single-family rental units.

Vice Chair Agbaje moved that HF 685 be re-referred to Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Vice Chair Agbaje moved the HF 685 DE3 amendment for adoption. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Nash requested a roll call on HF 685 as amended.

HF1094 (Agbaje), Tenants given the right to repair violations and deduct from their rent.

Vice Chair Agbaje moved that HF 1094 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law committee.

Vice Chair Agbaje moved the HF 1094 A2 amendment for adoption. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4556 be re-referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.
