HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCE AND POLICY DIVISION

MINUTES

Representative Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 2:32 P.M. on February 19, 2020, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lillie moved the minutes from February 18, 2020 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

H.F. 583 (Huot) Student loan refinancing program eligibility expanded, and money appropriated.

Chair Bernardy moved H.F. 583 be laid over for further consideration.

Chair Bernardy moved the A3 amendment to be put in H.F. 583 form that the author wants. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Bernardy renewed her motion that H.F. 583 be laid over further consideration. The MOTION PREVAILED.

H.F. 3087 (Wolgamott) Minnesota State Colleges and Universities critical operating funds funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Wolgamott moved that H.F. 3087 be referred to Ways & Means.

Chair Bernardy moved H.F. 3392 be laid over for further consideration.

Chair Bernardy moved the A1 amendment to be put in H.F. 3392 form that the author wants. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
