MINUTES

Representative Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 2:33 P.M. on March 6, 2019, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 1540 (Liebling): University of Minnesota pediatric resident mental health training program funding provided, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Bernardy moved HF 1540 be referred to Ways & Means.

Representative Bernardy renewed her motion HF 1540 be referred to Ways & Means. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Representative Vang moved to approve the minutes from March 5, 2019. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

HF 684 (Mann): Relating to health; requesting the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota to establish an advisory council on rare diseases; appropriating money.

Representative Lien moved HF 684 be referred to Ways & Means.

Representative Bernardy moved author’s amendment H0684A1 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

Representative Lien renewed his motion to refer HF 684 as amended to Ways & Means. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

HF 977 (Vang): Low-income students college admission and graduation programs funding provided, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Vang moved HF 977 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
