WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Liz Olson, Vice Chair of the Committee, called the remote Ways and Means Committee meeting to order at 9:45 A.M. on Monday, May 4, 2020, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services, Facebook Live, and YouTube live streaming.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Carlson moved that the minutes of May 1, 2020 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF1098 (Morrison) Prescription Drug Price Transparency Act established, drug manufacturer price information submission to health commissioner required, civil penalties provided, report required, and appropriations modified.

Representative Olson moved that SF1098, the fourth engrossment, be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Morrison presented SF1098 and answered member questions.

Doug Berg, Fiscal Analyst, answered questions on SF1098.

Representative Olson renewed the motion that SF1098, the fourth engrossment, be recommended to be placed on the General Register. A roll call was taken, and the results were as follows:

Representative Hansen moved that HF4498, the first engrossment, be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Hansen presented HF4498 and answered member questions.
