MINUTES

Representative Runbeck, Chair of the Transportation and Regional Governance Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on February 22nd, 2017, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Runbeck called the meeting to order at 1:03 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Hertaus moved the minutes of February 20th, 2017. THE MOTION
PREVAILED.

HF745 (Wills) Coates; bridge over U.S. Highway 52 designated as Corporal Benjamin S. Kopp Bridge.

Chair Runbeck moved that HF745 be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.

Chair Runbeck moved the H0745A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Howe presented HF745.
Jon Bururd, Corporal Kopps’ grandfather, testified in favor of HF745.
Bill Lunn, Author, “Heart of a Warrior,”testified in favor of HF745.

Chair Runbeck renewed the motion that HF745 be re-referred as amended to the Committee on Transportation Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1117 (Bahr) Oak Grove; areas designated as residential for the purposes of the comprehensive plan update.

Representative Bahr moved that HF1117 be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections.

HF1358 (Baker) Special overweight permits for hauling construction materials authorized.

Chair Runbeck moved that HF1358 be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.
