MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, started the meeting at 10:15 AM, on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Presentation on HF3189 (Bennett) Medical facilities in underserved areas exempted from sales and property taxes.

Representative Davids officially called the meeting to order at 10:25 AM. A quorum was present.

Representative Marquart moved the minutes of Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

No action was taken on HF3189.

HF3080 (Hoppe) Admissions to major professional golf tournaments exempted.

Representative Davids moved HF3080 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Davids renewed his motion that HF3080 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.




HF3154 (Ecklund) Nonprofit cross-country ski club sales tax exemption provided.

Representative Carlson moved HF3154 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Carlson renewed his motion that HF3154 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

HF884 (Liebling) Massage therapy exempted from sales tax, and health care provider tax on massage therapy imposed.

Representative Davids moved HF884 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Davids moved the HF884A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davids moved the HF884A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davids renewed his motion that HF884, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.
