Representative Deb Kiel, Chair of the Subcommittee on Aging and Long-Term Care, called the meeting to order at 8:19 AM on February 28, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

Kari Benson, Director, Aging and Adult Services presented an overview of the Minnesota Department of Human Services Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC).
Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm testified regarding the Minnesota Department of Health.
The following testifiers presented an overview of the Minnesota Department of Health, Office of Health Facility Complaints.

Gil Acevedo, Assistant Commissioner, Health Systems Bureau, MN Department of Health.
The following testifiers presented information on the Interagency Service Agreement between Office of Health Facility Complaints and Minnesota Department of Human Services.
Santo Cruz, Deputy Commissioner for External Relations, MN Department of Human Services.
Dan Pollock, Deputy Commissioner, MN Department of Health.
