MINUTES

Representative Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:01 P.M. on February 14, 2017, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Scott moved that the minutes of February 9th, 2017 be adopted. THE MO-TION PREVAILED.

HF602 Anderson, Education expense credit and deduction applied to expenditures for pre-
kindergarten expenses.

Representative Loon moved that that HF602 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Anderson testified on HF602.

Non Partisan House staff member, Nina Manzi, answered member questions.

Representative Loon renewed the motion that HF602 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF574, First Engrossment, Urdahl, Refundable credit for attaining a master’s degree in a teacher’s licensure filed provided.

Representative Erickson moved that HF574, First Engrossment, be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Urdahl testified on HF574, First Engrossment.

Representative Peterson moved that HF719 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill or for further action at a later time.

Representative Mariani moved that HF832 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill or for further action at a later time.

Representative Mariani moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
